For my chocolate lovers who have been waiting in anticipation for what’s to come on the blog, then I have good news, the wait is nearly over…Monday will see the launch of a new project taking place in collaboration with Life of a Chocolate Girl.
So get ready, it’s going to involve a lot of fitness, food and more importantly Genius…who can guess what the project will be?!
Shake up a protein on Monday morning and I’ll catch you here on the blog!
Grab a coffee, today we have a bit of a fun post on the blog… The meaning of Ayan.
Since I gave birth, so many people have asked me what ‘Ayan‘ actually means, truth be told, one of the reasons we chose this name was because it is truly one of the most multicultural names I have come across. It has such a beautiful meaning in many countries/cultures that it practically covers the world. So here it is 🙂
Hindu/Tamil meaning: Brahma – The God of Creation.
Sanskrit: Soaked in the divine (as in Satyanarayan)
Biblical meaning: ‘motion’, to arrive (related to Noah)
Scottish: Lian which is pronounced as ‘Ayan’ is the biblical, Scottish variation of John.
Hebrew: Nothingness, peace.
Islam/Arabic: God’s gift
Several African languages: Centre part of the soul.
Every meaning so beautiful and unique, Ayan is a truly meaningful name, don’t you think?
And as we dedicated a whole post to little Ayan, here are some snaps of him, enjoy!
For those of you who follow me on snapchat you will remember back to a few weeks ago where I snapped non-stop a week spent in the salon, well on this post you find out what that was all about annnnnd for those of you who don’t follow me on snapchat, let me give you a little catch up..
A few weeks ago my hairdresser Andreea Bogatean (from Catwalk 13 by Ramona Mindru) plucked up the courage and decided to enter her first competition…Wella Trendvision 2016 – [specific category: long hair]. Using me as her model, we spent a long, long agonizing week putting everything together, there were tears involved, frustration, babies (just my baby actually), late nights, lack of sleep and just general catastrophe every day…most of which I managed to catch on snapchat.
Arriving at the final day we were both exhausted to the max, but we pulled through and finally it was over. She completed her file, submitted it into the contest, then came the wait..
A very long month.
I’ll cut to the chase, yesterday evening we found out that SHE QUALIFIED!! But that’s not the best news, she also qualified 1st!!!!! All the hard work, stress and effort was worth it (but hey what isn’t worth the hard work?!) so this post is just a little congratulatory post to the best hairdresser, wish her all the luck in the next round!! Below are pics of the final result which have not been shown until now! Don’t forget that you can follow the contest on insta by searching the hashtag #trendvision2016

Oh and let’s never forget, that Ayan always is running around behind the glam and the glitter somewhere… So here was a sneaky backstage shot of the real deal and the #momlife angle! Multi-tasking at its finest, modeling with my toddler running on set and asking to be breastfed mid shoot, how he makes my days so much more exciting!
I left you guys on my last blog post thinking about what kind of nude colour I was going to choose for my pedi, in the end, after not much thought and a lot of work I had to catch up on, I chose a fresh, light, pink – more specifically cappuccino by E.mi. Although a nude colour, in contrast to my dark skin it actually turns out maybe not so nude but more pinky, simple, simply pink – take a look💗

My alarm rings at 6am and I snooze it for just 5 minutes so I can have cuddles with Ayan who’s peacefully sleeping next to me. Just 5 minutes…
It’s 6.55am and Cliffy (my little white German spitz puppy) is frantically running around my bedroom because I haven’t woken up to take him out and he’s just not suuuure he can hold it in anymore (dare I say I’m talking about 💩 – well an emoji is better then saying the real word for us ladies, isn’t it?) Well anyways, he’s 7 months old and couldn’t hold it in so its now 6.57am and there is the deed on my floor – great start to this Thursday morning. Well that’s that, clean it up and let’s go and wake the husband up, who’s always a grumpy baby in the mornings, shortly followed by his son who is just as grumpy as him – like father like son.
Then it’s time for my protein shake – 1 scoop every morning, chocolate flavor today from myprotein.ro <- click here to browse. Whilst I sip on that I’m rushing around doing housework and dealing with the usual chaos of the morning, get the boys out the door, breakfast in my mouth and finally we’re out into the 8.40am – 25 degree heat. Get this baby to kindergarten and then finally the moment I’ve been waiting for…on my way to a pedicure.
A pedicure you say? Doesn’t sound like a big deal but when it’s all about the #momlife a pedicure is one step into heaven ☁️. So here I am sitting in the cool, white salon, in a big comfy pedicure chair, almost feeling as though I really am floating in the clouds, my head for sure is in the clouds and I am thinking of all the things I will do today. The momma duties, wife duties, a bit of sneaky shopping, some cleaning, a great workout of course! Oh and this evening I am meeting with my secret collaborator to work on the blog, can you wait? I can’t! However, for now I shall think about what shade to paint my toe nails, it’s hot and sweaty outside, nude, nude sounds good? As it is the weather for nude after all right…?
Pictures of my pedi on the blog tomorrow, but for today, give me some inspo and let me know…What are your favourite summer colours? 💅🏽
So I haven’t been present on the blog lately (personal reasons + so much stuff going on) but, from now onwards we’ve got a lot of new stuff happening in Life of a Chocolate Girl and I can’t wait to share it all with you! Climbing back up the WordPress ladder once again…
On that note, as I say climbing back up, I would like to share that one of the ‘personal reasons’ was not a happy reason to why I’ve been off work lately and as time went on, I felt as though I’d lost myself a little, almost like sinking into a black hole and not finding yourself out (not a total depression here) but actually a sense of too much work and stress, and everything building up until you feel it’s all one big mess. So to restart my journey, I’d like to let my readers know that the biggest lesson I’ve learnt in my absence off – is not that you’re a failure for falling, but you will be a failure for not picking yourself up. I know so many of you can relate to this ozone absence of reality, although at the time you may feel alone, what I would like to say is don’t forget, it’s OK! And always remember to keep loving, laughing, smiling and living life! (Oh and don’t forget to keep visiting life of a chocolate girl) to see all the new surprises we are starting this summer on here!
To fresh starts, new beginnings, I mean what the heck, life is ours, lets own it & cheers to that! 🍾
