The dictionary definition doesn’t actually make butter sound so appealing, and to be honest, it isn’t. Known for its fattening and weight gaining properties, butter is present in many of today’s recipes, more so, in baking recipes. I love baking. I’m also into healthy eating… Quite a dilemma there.
However, after some thorough researching it turns out that we don’t actually need to use butter when baking, instead we can substitute for butter any of these SIX healthy ingredients and voila! You’ll still have the same great, tasty, baked goodie, minus a whole load of calories, no compromise on the taste and those abs still in check ✔️
So for today, there’s a bit of maths on our menu (but so worth it!)
3/4 cup of prunes + 1/4 boiling water = 1 cup of butter.
1/2 cup of apple sauce + 1/2 cup of fat = 1 cup of butter.
1 avocado puréed = 1 cup of butter.
4. FLAX SEEDS
3 Tbsp. flax seeds + 1Tbsp. water left to sit for 5-10 mins = 1 Tbsp butter
5. CHIA SEEDS
2-3 Tbsp. chia seeds plus one cup of water left to sit for 15 mins = 1 cup of butter.
1 cup banana mashed = 1 cup of butter
